Welcome to the Pride Resilience Identity Iama database

This searchable database presents documented evidence of sporting events and commentary about Iama and is aimed to be a history resource for the Iama community. It does not claim to be complete or accurate, and is a work in progress. Names are entered as they were spelled in the original documents. The data was collected by Associate Professor Gary Osmond, sport historian at The University of Queensland’s School of Human Movement and Nutrition Sciences, under a project funded by the Australian Research Council’s Discovery Project program.

Acknowledgments: We acknowledge the tribal laws and customs of the Tudu people on whose lands we work, play and live. We also acknowledge the historical people of Iama.
Reader Advice: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are advised that this database contains the names and images of people who are deceased.
