“The Church lads have been very active, and, under the leadership of Noel Brown, staged a Boxing Tournament as a first step towards providing the C.E.B.S. [Church of England Boys Society] with uniforms. A ring was constructed and lighting arranged and everything carried out in the most professional manner.
