“Foundation Day was celebrated by a Cricket Match; Cairns versus Mission Boys – the victory being won by the Boys. Quite a number of visitors, including a patrol of Boy Scouts from Gordonvale arrived with the Cricketers, and to all appearances spent a very happy and jolly day”.
