"Our sports were held as usual on Boxing Day and very good results were witnessed. Colin won the Mission 150 yards Championship and many other prizes. Clarrie was 2nd to Colin and also did very well in other events. Some good jumping was shown by Sambo and Alick Morgan.

A new feature was introduced in a long distance race from Yarrabah to Karpa Creek and back, handicaps being given in time not distance, this was won by David (Junior).

One day was insufficient to exhaust our programme and it was continued on New Year's Day which enabled the land races to be finished. After the success of the Karpa Creek race another longer one was held to Bukki and back. Victor won an excellent race with Harry Thomas second and Nicholas third. The distance must have been about 9 miles and it speaks well for the condition of our boys that some of those who finished were...[illegible].

The aquatic sports were held on January 9 and have not yet been quite finished. Douglas Pitt won the men's dinghy race from a large number of competitors. The men's and squad dives were won by Walter, Nicholas, Harold, and Valentine respectively. Myquick sat under water for over 2 minutes and won the time dive.
