Description
The Yarrabah School Sports were held on 3rd May, 1962. The Mirob cup was won by Koala House. This was a good rehearsal for the inter-school sports in Cairns. The parents bought materials and made new uniforms for the team. Colours chosen were red, gold, and black. The school made a success of the day by winning the boys’ shield and the Senior Girls’ picture trophy. Darryl Sexton, Stafford Murgha, and Alvena Yeatman, were the outstanding athletes for Yarrabah. Stafford and Alvena had successes in the Far Northern Championships held on 7th July in Cairns.
